2015 reflection

My 2015 was a very good years. I wrote in a previous post my travel to Perú in february. I think that is a very good form to start a year isn't is?. But in other topic more important that travel and fun, this year i finish (or i will finish) my career (cine and television in the Universidad de Chile) but i reprobe a subject in the first semestre. This is something important for my student life because i will should study only one subject in the next year. It wasn't because the subject was difficult, was only my poor concentration y and idleness. But in the laboral area, I worked a lot. I started to work in very interesting proyect to me, this has motivated me a lot. The projects I'm working on have to do with cinema, but from a very different logic to teaching at the university. I constantly keep doing workshops, this is something I've done four years ago but the first time I am doing so paid as any paid work. This experience made me take the decision to continue next year studing pedagogy, because despite having practiced in workshops, I still have much to learn.
As for the family, I spent little time at home, I must admit. The amount of work I have had, all the parties I have attended and in general all the things I do not do that arrives in two or more days to my home. It's not right, but I live so far away that my mother preferred me to stay outside and take that micro arriesge me so late. My dad is more practical and actually believes that that is solved out less. Maybe next year out less, I like being more at home, taking care of my dogs, being with my family more, I think that's a goal for 2016.

3rd themed post: TV shows and series I like

One of the series that I like is Mad Men. This year, I began to see and caught me immediately. Set in the 60s, it shows like Don Draper and all other employees Manhhatan advertising, are trapped by the social and cultural changes of the times. The construction of the characters from the script is what I like most about Mad Men, as the series has a strong emotional charge and that is thanks to the diversity of diametrical but psychologically representative characters of the decade. The creator of the TV series, Matthew Weiner, in an interview said that mad med works so well now because many things that happened in the 60's are happening today: sexual uncover the discussion on drugs, etc) . From the point of view audiovisual, building aesthetics Mad Med seeks to imitate the same advertising time, which in a way are the heirs of the North American aesthetic that was classic cinema built in the first half of the twentieth century . Search neatness in every locker and frame of the camera, makes mad med more one television film work, which from the very particular context (advertisers with alcoholic tendencies of the 60's) does portray the subjectivity of their characters generally to cross social problems.

How green are you?

I’m not very green. I care the planet health but the discussion of an ecological problem many time hide the guilty of companies of different kind of product. Extraction of natural resources, elaboration of plastic products and many other that work every day and every night without responsibility and the government it seems that he is not interested. I know that the change it responsibility of our self, if the world is in a ecological crisis is for the developed model of our society that haven’t respect for the nature and looking it like a product for exploitation

I like a book of Murray Bookchin, titled “"Ecology and Revolutionary Thought". New Directions in Libertarian Thought. The author is a historian and professor in the USA also is a political activist. In the book that I read, he speak about how the capitalism and his life style was a devastating of the planet and if we will talk about revolution, socialism and how make a better society we need considering the ecologism how a principle and vice versa: if we will talk about of green, we need talk about the revolution and socialism because the guilty is not the same for all the people. All of us have polluted, but probably Coca Cola company or Nike company has more guilt and responsibility that the majorities of people of society.

Our Pets

I have two dogs. thy calls Mecha and Mostaza. Mecha came home in 2011 , lived as homeless home in the occupation of the University of Chile, in the heart of Santiago. Mostaza came home a year later, was a gift of my gradparent. I always liked the dogs, when i was a child i had a Cindy. She lived 12 years.

The little dog on the picture is Mostaza. She grow up a lot. Despite its size, you should think of it as a puppy still is afraid of dogs barking and pulled him over you as if they knew how much it weighs. Always I am looking for food and I've never made to understand that if you throw a ball has to bring me back. Not so Mecha, who fully understand the games we make. Always keep a bottle at home and when I'm out on the patio will look. He never makes a top yours unless you ask and eats little, it seems to be maintaining a healthy diet. They're like an older sister and a younger, logically fight. His biggest fight is the house where they sleep. At one time they lived together in the same house but you had to buy another mustard because Mecha not let her sleep there, not even when it rained.
But anyway you want. I often go jogging with them (what a mess because they have a lot of energy)

The best holidays I've ever had: The Amazon Jungle

During the month of February this year, I went with a friend to Peru. Not really know much about the jungle, we had read some travel blogs but the fact that any of us was very studious while preparing the trip. After resting in Lima long and tedious journey Arica - Tacna, we take a bus 28 hours from Lima to Yuri Magua, a village in the high jungle of Peru, by which you enter the jungle.

The main destination for Peruvian jungle is Iquitos, a giant city in the jungle, born in the era of rubber, currently oil exporter where most of the products are carried in cargo ships by the Amazon river and there are no roads . You can only be reached by boat or plane.
After three days on the cargo ship, we arrived in the city of Iquitos, met the main attractions and started looking for the best alternative to into the jungle. We met Jorge, a tour guide who needed money urgently to treat his son, who offered us to stay at home, in a town called Santa Ana, on the outskirts of Iquitos. We were five days living in the jungle, first in his village where there was no electricity or Internet. Even bathrooms. Then we entered the forest, camping three days with Jorge showing us the tricks of basic survival that he had learned in his time of military, around presented us his brother Lorenzo, who was the shaman of the people, we Medicine showed part of the place.

It was a unusual vacation, I had never been in a place so different from Santiago. I noticed that the children of the Santa Ana did not even know what was CHILE but knew Alexis Sánchez and Los Prisioneros.
